Jacksonville Bound!

Following a wonderful weekend at home and a long ride back to Statesboro yesterday afternoon, at approximitely 7:20 pm last night I found out that I will be completing my dietetic internship at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL! Holy moly, it feels so good to finally know!

After two years of school work, working on this application for roughly six months, many sleepless nights, and thousands of conversations about the entire process, the hard work has paid off and I am beyond thrilled, honored, and excited to complete this chapter of my life with such an amazing program.

Once I interviewed with the Mayo Clinic a few weeks ago, I knew there was no other place that I wanted to go!

As soon as the matching system finally opened up on my computer (the site was down for the from 7-7:20…a long 20 minutes), Dustin was waiting with flowers, a champagne toast, and the iHome ready to blast “Celllll-a-brate good times, come on! It’s a celebration!”

A celebration it is! Dustin has been amazing and so supportive through this entire process.

I cannot wait to write to you all from Jacksonville, FL… a place we are beyond thrilled to call our future home home! You better believe Boss and Gunner are excited to move to the beach! 🙂
